Major Diatonic Reed Plates for Lee Oskar Harmonicas

$29.00

Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates (Model #1910RP) – All 18 Keys

Replacement reed plates for the Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonica, sold individually (as a pair) in all 18 keys. Orange Label, Model #1910RP.

Reeds wear out. They go flat, they lose response, and eventually a harp you’ve played hard for years stops speaking the way it did. Replaceable reed plates in every key are an exclusive Lee Oskar feature, and they mean that harp doesn’t go in a drawer — it gets rebuilt at about half the cost of a new instrument.

How the Rebuild Works

The whole process involves only three screws and two nuts/bolts. No specialty tools, no repair-shop turnaround, no waiting.

  1. Remove the cover plates.
  2. Unfasten the worn reed plates from the comb.
  3. Fit the new reed plates.
  4. Reassemble with your original comb and cover plates.

Your original comb and cover plates are recycled into the rebuilt harp, so the instrument you get back is the one you’re already used to playing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do these reed plates fit?

The Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonica, Orange Label. Reed plates are specific to their tuning family — Major Diatonic plates will not fit a Natural Minor, Harmonic Minor, or Melody Maker harp.

Do I have to buy the same key as my old plates?

No. Because plates are sold by key, you can rebuild in the original key or convert an existing harp body to a different key.

Not sure which tuning you have?

Check the designation on the comb — Major Diatonic shows the 1st Position key only, Melody Maker (MM), Natural Minor (N), Harmonic Minor (H).

How much does rebuilding save?

About half the cost of buying a complete new harmonica.
