Lee Oskar Harmonicas Wraps Up Its 40th Anniversary

(Seattle, WA-December 11, 2023)—Lee Oskar Harmonicas (LOH) wraps up its 40th Anniversary with a banner year, marked by exciting firsts in manufacturing, artistic releases, and collaborations.Known worldwide for innovation, consistent excellence and meticulous attention to detail, the company proudly notes that it has been successfully manufacturing the same superior quality products in collaboration with Tombo Manufacturing of Japan since it was established in 1983.  The signature LOH system of interchangeable and replaceable parts has been the industry’s gold standard for decades.

2023 Brings Collaborations with Mick Jagger, Dreams We Share and Playing for Change

In early 2023, WhyNow Music UK, in collaboration with rock legend Sir Mick Jagger and Lee Oskar Harmonicas, released a highly anticipated signature series custom line of Mick Jagger Harmonicas, followed by a recent second edition in October.

On September 15, 2023, Lee’s record label, Dreams We Share, a subsidiary of Lee Oskar Productions, released “She Said Mahalo,” a ten-track album of Lee’s original compositions that offers an upbeat, quintessentially Lee Oskar sonic experience. “She Said Mahalo” was composed, produced, and illustrated by Lee Oskar, recorded, and mixed by Brandon Busch, and mastered by Robert Rice, with package layout and design by Dmitri Antos, liner notes by Keri Oskar and original artwork by Lee Oskar. Oskar plays various harmonica models in altered tunings and keys on this album, as specified in the liner notes.

As a continuation of Oskar’s longstanding support of Playing for Change, (PFC), a global organization dedicated to help support artists and musical education around the world, he recently painted the cover art for PFC’s soon-to-be-released compilation album, Songs for Humanity.

Inspired by this contribution to the PFC project, and as a culmination of an extraordinary year of artistic endeavors, Oskar released a 2024 calendar, Seasons of Humanity through Dreams We Share in December This one-of-a-kind calendar features images of Lee’s original paintings, depicting different musical instruments set in an array of scenes to evoke different moods and emotions in a celebration of humanity, music and the art of life. Each of the featured works in the calendar are available for purchase, signed by Lee Oskar, as a certified giclee print.

LOH plans to announce other news about a first-ever collaboration with a major cancer center in early 2024.

In Oskar’s words, “I am thrilled and proud that our 40th anniversary year was filled with meaningful projects and great accomplishments that were made possible by contributions and collaborations involving many. I am especially delighted that my son, Nate Oskar, has taken on leadership of the company as President of Lee Oskar Harmonicas. We look to the future of the company with great anticipation and excitement as we continue in our commitment to excellence and innovation in all we do.”
